What can I expect during a Sunday service?
A typical service lasts 1 hour and includes hymns and prayers in Hawaiian and an inspirational message in English by our Kahu, Rev. Bettina M. Recca. Services are conducted every Sunday at 11:00 am.
Where are you located?
We are nestled in the heart of Kaka’ako at 910 Cooke Street, between the Lexus showroom and service department. We also have free on-site parking as well as limited street parking.
Are you affiliated with other Hawaiian Christian churches in the islands?
Ke Alaula Oka Malamalama is the mother church of Ho’omana Na’auao, which is the first independent Hawaiian Christian organization in Hawai’i. We were established in 1897 and have been at the same location in Kaka’ako ever since. We are non-denominational, but align most closely with the Protestant faith. We currently have 2 other churches on the island of Hawai’i - Ke Kilohana Oka Malamalama and Ka Mauloa Oka Malamalama.
